National workshop on “Digital Publishing”

The GIST group of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and Technology Development for Indian languages program (TDIL) of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) jointly conducted a national workshop on “Digital Publishing” at Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), New Delhi on August 29, 2016. The overall goal of the workshop was to discuss on various issues and challenges in digital publishing in Indian languages and to plan for creating an overall ecosystem with an aim to increasing e-content in Indian Languages. Emmy ® Award to be given to W3C on 8 January in Las Vegas

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the global standards organization that develops the foundational technologies for the Web, will receive a Technology & Engineering Emmy ® Award on 8 January, 2016 from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) for W3C's work to make video content more accessible with text captioning and subtitles.
